Intarsia is a type of multicolor knitting to create colorful elements of a piece that are knitted in parallel with the main fabric. In Italian it is translated as ‘insertion’. A distinctive feature of intarsia is the absence of broaches on the wrong side. Each strand of new color is knitted from its own ball. Intarsia allows you to create artwork on knitted fabric.
